Hydrodemetallization (HDM) Catalyst for Anthracene Oil/Washing Oil From Coal Tar
-Catalyst LSLHM-40 is an efficient guard catalyst for removing metals and other dirt from anthracene oil and washing oil that are separated from coal tar. Anthracene oil and washing oil can be hydroprocessed to clean diesel. However, anthracene oil and washing oil contain high contents of various metals. These metals can settle on the primary catalysts (hydrofining/hydroupgrading/hydrocracking catalysts), contaminating the primary catalysts and causing the primary catalysts to lose activity. Therefore, these metals must be removed before anthracene oil and washing oil reach the primary catalysts. Catalyst LSLHM-40 is developed for this purpose, is characterized by high porosity, and can effectively remove metals and sulfur from anthracene oil and washing oil, therefore protecting the primary catalysts from being polluted and preventing the bed pressure drop from increasing rapidly.
